Comprehensive Financial Planning
Our comprehensive financial planning service starts with you. We take the time to learn about you; your family, your lifelong goals and aspirations, what makes you tick, and even your habits and hobbies. From there, we continue by asking some of the more difficult questions; if you know your goals, how are you planning to achieve them? If you don’t know your goals, we help you take a step back and materialize them. What risks, or roadblocks do you see? What’s the single most important part to achieving happiness?
We dive in with you on every detail, from establishing a weekly spending budget to running scenario analysis on your 401(k) or childrens’ 529 education plans. We evaluate your taxes to help you potentially uncover tax savings. Investment management is also a part of this process, as we work diligently with you to learn your risk tolerance and how you approach uncertainty.
No two situations are the same. What makes our process different is the level of personalization we offer. We realize that the modern investor may have real estate holdings, stock options, side hustles, small businesses, and more. We cater our services to accommodate this and have built technology solutions that help us better serve you.
The comprehensive planning service does not go on autopilot once the plan is implemented. We have a monthly service calendar with touchpoints to maintain and refine all of the corners of your financial plan. We establish your preferred communication cadence and keep you in the know on what’s important via personalized letters, emails, blog posts, meetings, video calls, and we are always available when you have a question. Our ultimate goal is to pave the way for you to achieve what is important in your life while resting assured that someone is looking out for you.
Investment Management Services
Our investment management philosophy is rooted in academic research using empirical evidence. We firmly believe that markets are efficient, meaning market prices reflect all available information and expectations of the future. And diversification, defined as spreading the risks of investing across multiple mediums, makes a difference over the long-term.
Our first goal is to understand your personal financial situation, appetite for risk, and what you want your portfolio to accomplish before we make any investment recommendations. As fiduciaries, we are legally required to make investment advice recommendations that are in your best interests, regardless of our own. This means we create portfolios that are time-tested and evidence-based, low-cost, efficient, tax-aware, and fit your long-term financial goals.
We provide investment management services in conjunction with our comprehensive financial planning service, or as a stand-alone service. Our fees are based as a percentage of assets under management.
